Oh wow. This is just crazy, insane, beautiful, exhilarating. It is actually genuinely exhilarating to watch. I heard about this a while ago- Neville, who produced it, told me about it. And I just now happened across it. Ari Marcopoulos directs as Noah Sakomoto and Patrick Rizzo bomb down hills in Claremont, CA. It’s been floating around for a while but if you haven’t seen it, I heartily recommend you watch this, it’ll put a smile on your face…

I think it’s better! They are only risking themselves, and there’s something totally joyful about their postures, their expressions, their whoops of delight. Also having the object- one of them, in the foreground or accelerating towards the camera, away from the camera, having them pass the camera between them, totally magnifies the whole thing, the sense of speed and freedom. It is AWESOME!

Ok. Hmmm. Not sure where I’d go from there. That is some of the most amazing extreme sports footage I’ve ever seen. It’s very well shot. And they seem like they are evolving base jumping into a whole new area. They should fight crime in their spare time or something. I’m dumbstruck. You win.
