A scene from Truffaut’s “Les Quatre Cents Coups”. It reminds me a little of Weegee’s “Their First Murder”. I love the way the camera pans across the kid’s faces, all with the identical expression on their faces. Weegee’s image has a more manic, brutal quality- because the kids are frozen in the act of jostling for a better look;
